The literary Field
I just finished Ajay Howarth - Author latest release! The literary field.
Right, first off... Let's not act surprised. We all already know this book is damn well an A + book.
This is a woman who knows her craft, knows her readers and knows her characters. That's a dangerous combination to have. Because when you get it right, just like she has—magic happens!
Real and raw characters. A beautifully described world and thoughts and emotions that tug you left then pull you right.
Lucy was so easy to love and connect with. I spent the entire book wanting her to get everything she deserves. The banter is fun, the intimate scenes are HOT and the connections she shares and creates with everyone around her are beautifully crafted.
I will be waiting eagerly— Kindle in hand, for whatever comes next for Ajay!
Five stars!!

Feathers so vicious/shadows so cruel
Well, shit.
This one is a little more complicated to review. Not because I didn't love it. Not even close. In fact, at this point I'm updating my Will to say bury these books with me! The complication comes because summing up how these books made me feel in one word is, quite frankly, impossible.
So instead, what you get is a walkthrough of how it went.
Page five: confused and crying. Confused because I was not ready to be that emotionally effected so quickly.
Midway.: Oh, love that guy, but fuck that other guy right off. Arsehole. But also, more sharing, please.
Book one end: What the fucking shit is happening!!!!
Book two:
The entire time a mix of crying, giggling and more goddamn crying. The damn reveal had me needing to smoke - I DON'T SMOKE.
The end: No joke, I cried in the shower.
I shut down emotionally and I didn't read anything else for a week.
Five stars.

The Fake Date
This is my first time reading something by Tasia. Within just the first few chapters something became abundantly clear, it won't be my last.
Tasia has done something so profoundly difficult. She has captured humans. At their most vulnerable, at the strongest, at their weakest. She has captured what it feels to just be... Human. This story is more than just that of a love story. It's the story of what happens when love looks how it's supposed to.
Cambria had me feeling such pride, she had me feeling like I had been punched in the gut (emotionally), she had me cheering her on.
Chase had a terrible habit of making me want to scream "Kiss the girl!" But at the same time, I didn't want him to. Because that's not who he is. He is patient and gentle and oh so freaking good!
five stars.

A soul to keep
Okay, okay, okay.
So, I finished a soul to keep by Opal Reyne recently.
Admittedly, it was my first monster book. And you know what? I'm glad it was my first one!
I'm not 100% sure that monster "intimacy" is my thing... HOWEVER I could not put this book down!!!!! Holy shit the banter, the trust that was built, the story, the way everything came together so beautifully! I'm obsessed! Orpheus and Reia are definitely one of my new favorite couples!!!
My favorite parts with minimal spoilers:
His curiosity
Bath time
Touch her and die
Her strength
Her protectiveness
Be kind - no, I don't want to-
The other mavka
The librarian
His swap from softness to "talking naughty"
The revelation about a feathered creature
I laughed
I raised a confused eyebrow
I had my jaw on the floor
I drooled
I cried
